Through the program, each team participates in a weekly devotional and the plan of salvation is presented giving players the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. In 2008, more than 300 youth participated in the Upward Basketball program at Waterville.

Not only were their lives positively influenced by this program, but so were the lives of many adult coaches, referees, coordinators and fans.
